Removing sink-glitches from the WCR

This topic is to discuss the removing of sink-glitches from the WCR or to make seperate rankings.


My personal opinion:
The red wall glitch is only working on a Ps2 and i'm not going to continue rankings for just like 4 or 5 people. Cause it looks like it will go into this direction. Also i already didn't liked the "new" sink zones which were found this year cause they destroyed years old rankings. And a huge part of the fun of this game are the glitches where a truck sends other vehicles flying. At least for me and alot of prior members of this community.

The plan for now is:


-Set sink-glitch scores back to like it was before this year (zone 2,11 and 29)

-sink-glitch scores will be listed in a seperate ranking which wont be counted in ap, totals, stats, etc.

-rail-glitch on 13 will stay like it is now

-zone 4 scores will be removed too and filled with known non-sink scores

-old xbl totals will remain like they are, cause for some totals the zone 4 PR isnt known so it cant be removed from the total (if a sink-glitch was even used). almost all of those scores r under 50mil and since the AP overall ranking is there, it wont be a big deal. A note will be added for that in the total rankings.



Yes, this doesn't sound that perfect but it almost got impossible to keep it up on a 100% perfect way. Over the years some things got complicated. It got complicated to please everyone or i should better say it got impossible. Also it got more and more work to keep this up and i already thought about to stop the WCR cause of that.

Maybe you can add ur opinion about those points listed here, cause there could be a good idea out there which i dont see right now. Or the ideas listed here could be improved. Thx for reading this and i hope everyone still have fun crashing.

Removing zone 4 sinks would mean removing all current top 25 scores because all those are sinks.  The only ones left would be some XBL scores, depending on which you choose to keep or to keep those at all.  If you don't, that would mean having only 4 non-sink scores left, which are the ones in my non-sink playlist: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLZRlKCDJDJ95OPVTUPAT6lzwZjuiDqOpl
Maybe it would be best to wait until we have, lets say, 10 scores that are proven to be non-sink, then we can at least have a top 10 ranking for this zone without sinks and without having too many empty spaces in the ranking.

Having an empty top for a while isn't such trouble : on the contrary, it might have as consequence that people would play it more in order to get an easy rank.

I was the first to say it's not logical to allow sink on zone 4 and not on other zones. Anyway, after second thoughts and given the fact a lot of players stopped, this could be difficult to have a relevant AP ranking if sink scores were removed on zone 4. If we remove sink glitches for zone 4, then almost every crasher apart from xbl players would miss a zone. It would lead to a position 30 and a crushed AP for those players, and since a lot stopped playing they would stay without score on 4 and then with a lower AP than they deserve.

Truly I don't know what to do. We shouldn't keep those scores since sink aren't allowed anymore. On the other hand, removing zone 4 sinks would lead to a irrelevant AP ranking.
